DYMOCKS CHILDREN'S CHARITIES

Dymocks Children’s Charities’ mission is to promote a love of reading and improve literacy outcomes for children in Australia. Their programs support children who have little or no access to good books and restock priority school libraries, community centres, hospitals, classrooms and provide books for children to take home and cherish.

Help provide books for kids in need

Your donation with help provide brand new books to disadvantaged children across Australia and inspire a love of reading.

There are many barriers that prevent children from accessing equitable education and opportunities with 1 in 6 children in Australia growing up in poverty.* The reading levels of disadvantaged students in Australia are on average two to five years behind their peers with this gap continuing to widen with age.^

By helping to improve literacy skills, together we can help break cycles of illiteracy, poverty, and disadvantage.

Most of our students do not have books at home. I know the students and families are very grateful to have a first-class school library now. I see some parents come in and just stare at the books. Some parents are illiterate themselves having not had the chance to go to or finish school. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
